My name is Jennifer Jackson and I am beyond excited to be a Titan!
In September 2019 I joined École Olds Elementary school where I taught grade 2 and 3
French Immersion. I immediately fell in love with the Olds community and I am excited
that École Deer Meadow School has now welcomed me with open arms.
After graduating from Notre Dame High School in Red Deer, I attended Red Deer
College for two years, then transferred to the University of Alberta where I obtained my
Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Physical Education and a minor in
French. I also played hockey for Red Deer College as well as the University of Alberta,
and in 2010 I won a National Championship with the University of Alberta Pandas. I later
obtained my Masters of Education with a focus on Educational Leadership from the
University of Alberta.
I began my teaching journey teaching grade 6 at St. Benedict Elementary School in
Edmonton while also being the lead instructor and coordinator for the grade 4-6 hockey
academy. I then moved to Sundre in 2014 where I began teaching with the Chinook's
Edge School Division. I taught grade 9 math and science at Sundre High School, as well
as grade 9-12 physical education. I then continued my journey to École Olds Elementary
School prior to taking on this new role as Vice Principal of École Deer Meadow School.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy being physically active, spending time with my four
beautiful children and family. I also enjoy fishing, camping, coaching and all sporting
activities!
I look forward to being a Titan and learning from the amazing students, staff and parents
within the Olds community.
