Angie Durant

Hi there! My name is Angie Durant and I am so excited to be joining the staff at Ecole Deer Meadow School!

I have been blessed to be part of the Family School Wellness Program since 2008. I have had the opportunity to work with students and their families within the communities of Innisfail, Spruce View, Sylvan Lake and Sundre. I have my BA in Psychology and have additional training in Attachment Theory.

My passion is supporting children, youth and their families through complex and challenging times. I believe a child's behaviour is how they communicate to the world when they do not have the words to express their feelings. We also know that when students are stressed and/or facing adversity, it affects their ability to reach their highest potential in school. The Family School Wellness Program is committed to supporting families and has four core values: Relationships, Caring, Empathy and Respect. 

I am from a small town in British Columbia and have lived in Olds since 2004. I have a son who attends Ecole Olds High School and we enjoy travelling, the outdoors and anything involving water!
